About the RoleThe Junior Sister/Charge Nurse will be responsible for establishing and maintaining communication with patients and relatives, communicating sensitive and complex information in a highly emotive atmosphere. The role also involves assessing, developing, and implementing programmes of care, and participating in team nursing and the development of nursing responsibilities for individual patients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the shift and ensure the safety of patients
- Liaise with doctors and the multi-disciplinary team
- Manage a team of staff, including PDR, sickness absence, and training
- Administer chemotherapy and take charge of the Acute Oncology Helpline
