JOB DESCRIPTION

The SmartPlant P&ID Applications Specialist plays a crucial role in configuring and overseeing the SmartPlant P&ID database in accordance with project requirements throughout its lifecycle until it is handed over to the client.

This position also entails recognizing opportunities for application enhancements and integrating with other SmartPlant solutions to optimize project execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the SmartPlant P&ID Applications representative across various projects
  • Tailor the SPIDD database to meet client specifications
  • Act as the primary contact for technical and drafting inquiries
  • Facilitate communication between the project team and ICT for issue resolution
  • Engage in discussions regarding SPPID database configuration and implementation
  • Document all requested changes to reference data
  • Execute maintenance utilities to ensure database performance
  • Develop designer instructions and quality compliance checklists
  • Address infrastructure challenges and submit them for resolution
  • Generate line lists for EPC projects and configure validation reports
  • Monitor production data utilizing validation reports
  • Conduct random checks for validation integrity
  • Generate constraint reports and resolve identified issues
  • Maintain a record of lessons learned and suggest application enhancements
  • Transfer SPPID data to other applications for project advantages
  • Define methods for data exchange between SmartPlant applications
  • Attend application conferences to remain informed on advancements
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Visual Basic and report configuration

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Training from Intergraph on database configuration, customization, and P&ID creation (essential)
  • Awareness of automation through Intergraph training (desirable)
