Job Overview:

This position involves providing essential support to an elderly individual with specific health needs. The role encompasses assistance with meal preparation and personal care, as well as facilitating mobility and social activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with meal preparation, ensuring adherence to strict dietary requirements.
  • Provide personal care as needed, with discussions to be held during the interview.
  • Support the individual in participating in various activities, including visits to local attractions and shopping trips.
  • Assist with light gardening tasks and other domestic duties as required.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Flexibility to adapt to the employer's needs and schedules.
  • Interest in activities such as gardening and social outings.
  • Experience in domestic support and personal care is preferred.
  • A valid driving license and the ability to drive a modified vehicle.
  • Must be over 25 years of age for insurance purposes.
  • Physical fitness to assist with mobility and transport tasks.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Hourly rate: £15
  • Weekly hours: 13, with flexible scheduling.
  • Includes supported activity hours.
  • Job share options are available.
  • Annual leave entitlement equivalent to 5.6 weeks.
  • Completion of mandatory training is required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • References from previous employers.
  • Completion of a probationary period of 6 months.
