Job Summary:

Randstad Care Careers is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Services Professional to join our team as a Child Welfare Specialist in the Leaving Care team at Swindon Council. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective case plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people in care.

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify the needs of children and families, and provide tailored support and interventions.

  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, teachers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting children and families.

  • Provide guidance and support to children and young people in care, helping them to develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, policies, and best practices in child welfare and social work, and apply this knowledge to inform your practice.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a strong understanding of child development, including attachment theory.

  • Knowledge of the assessment framework and ability to relate theory to practice.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services.
