Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Biomedical Scientist to join our Pathology team at The London Clinic. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in microbiology and virology, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of biomedical scientists in the laboratory, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards and in accordance with UKAS standards.
  • Undertake routine and specialist laboratory techniques, including validation and authorization of results from laboratory investigations.
  • Record information on the Pathology laboratory information system and ensure that it complies with governance requirements at all times.
  • Liaise with all grades of biomedical scientists, TLC staff, and other users to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Communicate results as appropriate and escalate any issues that may compromise service delivery.
Requirements
  • Current state registration as a Biomedical Scientist in the UK (HCPC).
  • BSc Biomedical Science or equivalent.
  • Completion of specialist training or equivalent experience (more than 2 years) in the UK.
  • Understanding of quality assurance procedures in accordance with UKAS standards.
