Job Title: Digital Education Officer - Esports Specialist

City in the Community is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Education Officer - Esports Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Education team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating all aspects of our Esports program in partnership with Oldham College.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative Esports programs that integrate real-world experiences, industry insights, and practical skills development into the Esports Level 2 & 3 BTEC curriculum.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Oldham College and Manchester City Esports, serving as the main contact for Esports-related inquiries to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Inspire and motivate students through engaging Esports activities, providing personalized mentorship to help them achieve their goals and ensuring a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Engage local community schools and groups with presentations and workshops to promote the BTEC Esports programs, ensuring positive recruitment and offering clear application information and support.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in delivering educational programs, preferably in an Esports context.
  • Thorough understanding of the Esports industry and its educational potential.
  • Track record of supporting participants through education.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing projects or programs.
  • Solid experience in working in and liaising with colleges, internal and external partners.
  • Passionate about Esports and education.
  • Competence in using technology and digital tools relevant to Esports.
  • Competent across Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Dynamic, innovative, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Resilient and adaptable to change.
  • Excellent and inclusive team-working abilities.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Understanding of City in the Community Foundation and its projects.
  • Full, clean, driving license.
Desirable:
  • Postgraduate qualification in a related area.
  • Experience and knowledge of working within a brand environment and understanding the responsibilities that are associated with representing a Premier League Football Club.
  • Competence in event management and organizing large-scale tournaments.
  • Experience working within a charitable or non-profit organization.
  • Familiarity with social media and marketing for program promotion.
  • Budget management and reporting.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and guide others.
  • Enthusiastic about community engagement and development.
  • In-depth knowledge of various Esports games, platforms, and trends.
  • Previous experience collaborating with colleges, schools, and other educational settings.
