Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Production Manager to join our team at Galaxy Personnel. As a CNC Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our machine shop, ensuring that all products meet design specifications and are produced efficiently.
Main Responsibilities:
- Technical Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to set up machines and ensure accurate production.
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD): Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly.
- Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
- Process Optimization: Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
- Tooling and Maintenance: Consider tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly. Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning and sharpening.
- Training and Development: Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.
Requirements:
- Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required.
- Attention to Detail: Must have strong attention to detail.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Problem-Solving: Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise.
- Communication: Ability to work independently and closely follow directions.
- Attitude: Should have a positive and professional attitude.
- Physical Demands: Capable of standing for extended periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Time-Served Toolmaker: Ideally will be a time served toolmaker.
Skills Required:
- CNC: Proficient in CNC machining and programming.
- Managerial: Strong leadership and management skills.
- Engineering: Familiarity with engineering principles and practices.
- Manufacturing: Experience in manufacturing and production environments.
- HAAS: Familiarity with HAAS controls and turning practices.
