Position Overview

We are seeking skilled Pension Actuarial Consultants to assist with various client projects. Potential assignments may include:

  • Actuarial valuations and funding updates
  • Asset-liability modeling
  • GMP equalization analysis

The role involves collaborating with a partner or director to evaluate client challenges and define project scope and deliverables. You will be tasked with building models, analyzing documentation, valuation reports, investment performance, and asset allocation. Your responsibilities will also include formulating solutions based on modeling outcomes and preparing detailed reports. Participation in client meetings alongside a partner or director may be required.

Required Qualifications

As a Pension Actuarial Consultant, you should possess comprehensive knowledge and experience in pension financing, risk management, and regulatory frameworks, including the Pensions Act 2005 and 2021, Finance Act, TPR codes of practice, and actuarial standards such as TAS 100 and TAS 300. Additionally, you should have experience in the following areas:

  • Fellowship with the Institute of Actuaries - fully qualified or partially qualified
  • Proficiency in applying actuarial techniques and methodologies to develop customized models using Excel or other software to advise clients on the costs and risks associated with various initiatives
