Principal Piping Engineer Opportunity

Global E&C is seeking a highly skilled Principal Piping Engineer to join their team in Aberdeen. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality piping engineering services to support the company's projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Providing technical input into tenders and proposals to ensure the company's engineering capabilities are showcased.
  2. Ensuring that assigned work is completed within budget and schedule, maintaining a high level of technical quality.
  3. Production, checking, and approval of piping deliverables, as well as input to multi-discipline deliverables.
  4. Maintaining project plans and providing regular progress updates for assigned scopes.
  5. Ensuring compliance with applicable standards, regulations, codes, and procedures.
  6. Representing the piping discipline in safety and design reviews.
  7. Maintaining regular communication with the Lead Engineer/Designer and/or Head of Piping & Mechanical, highlighting issues, concerns, or areas for improvement.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry with a UK Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate Engineering subject.
  • A sound technical background and expertise in piping engineering.
  • Experience in selecting applicable codes, practices, standards, and statutory documentation.
  • Competency in all aspects of discipline design, including multi-discipline, and the use of analytical methods.
  • Competency in quality control and engineering procedures.

Please note that the successful candidate must have a valid right to work in the UK, as sponsorship is not available.
