Financial Analyst - Packed Products

At Tarmac, we're committed to creating an inclusive work environment for all employees. We're currently seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team based in Solihull, Birmingham (hybrid working pattern 2 days in the office per week).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide commercial reporting and insight in relation to the Packed Products business line, including volumes, revenue, and prices.
  • Lead on the end-to-end management of customer rebates, from system setup to payment and liaison with key account managers and customers.
  • Support the production of the month-end reporting pack and other standardized reports, providing commentary and analysis on commercial performance to the senior team.
  • Support the finance manager with commercial forecasting and outputs, working closely with commercial managers and sales and operational planning teams.
  • Lead on the month-end close process for sales/rebates, including accruals and pricing checks through reviews with customer services/commercial teams.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant or finalist ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Experienced Finance Analyst or proven financial management experience in an analytical or decision support role.
  • Ability to learn and map end-to-end financial and system processes.
  • Experience with data query/management tools (e.g., Business Warehouse, Access, SQL, Business Objects) and a financial ERP system.
  • Previous experience within the building products industry.
  • Experience of working in a challenging matrix environment/large business plc.
