Vehicle Damage Assessor Opportunity

Igloo is seeking a skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our team in the Reading region. As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will work on behalf of our client, a privately owned automotive repair company with operations across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with customers via phone and in person to provide updates on repair status
  • Estimate damage of customer vehicles, including on-site and off-site assessments
  • Value vehicles to repair costs and estimate repair methods
  • Order correct parts with the parts department and update the online insurance system
  • Ensure maximum customer care throughout the repair process
  • Image vehicles throughout different stages and create job cards with repair methods attached
  • Obtain repair authority and update communication logs on the management system

The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of the Audatex estimating system and technical understanding of bodywork and paint repair techniques. Practical experience of working on the shop floor in an automotive bodyshop within a similar role is essential.
