We are seeking an experienced and dynamic nurse to join our team as a Matron of Children's Services. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the inpatient clinical areas and nurse specialists on the University Hospital Lewisham site.

1. Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and management to the inpatient clinical areas and nurse specialists, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
2. Staff Management: Manage and develop a team of nurses, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent patient care.
3. Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews and appraisals to ensure staff are meeting the required standards.
4. Quality Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care and services.
5. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other nursing clinical leads, Head of Nursing, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
6. Professional Development: Support the professional development of staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent patient care.

• Experience in a similar role or leadership position.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of pediatric nursing and patient care.
