The Department of Biology at Widener University is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a tenure-track assistant professor position in molecular and cellular biology. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory biology courses for biology majors and upper-level courses in developmental biology and their area of specialty.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular and cellular biology, a high potential for undergraduate teaching, and the ability to engage students in an active research program.

The successful candidate will have completed a Ph.D. by May 2024, although 1-2 years of postdoctoral experience is strongly preferred. Laboratory space is available in our modern biology facilities. We seek candidates who are passionate about teaching and research and who can contribute to our department's commitment to inclusive excellence.
