This facility is well-known for its commitment to producing and distributing top-quality dairy products across the region.
Role Summary
As a Production Team Supervisor, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of our production processes. This permanent role reports to the Production Supervisor and requires a diligent individual dedicated to upholding high operational standards.
Key Duties
- Team Leadership: Direct and oversee small teams of Dairy Operators, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to maintain an efficient production workflow.
- Task Management: Assign tasks strategically to achieve production goals, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities for all team members.
- Safety Standards: Educate and enforce adherence to company health and safety regulations among team members.
- Production Monitoring: Supervise the filling and packaging processes, including conducting quality assurance checks and Clean-In-Place (C.I.P.) procedures.
- Operational Support: Manage team coverage during breaks and provide assistance across various production areas as required.
- Quality Control: Perform titration tests and accurately document results as per company protocols.
- Logistics Coordination: Aid in the management of unloading operations to ensure timely processing.
- Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of hourly checks and monitoring activities.
- Hygiene Compliance: Ensure that hygiene and cleaning tasks are executed to the required standards.
- Support to Management: Assist the Production Manager with daily operational tasks and responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Relevant Experience: Candidates should possess prior experience in a food processing environment, demonstrating effective team leadership and production oversight.
- Physical Capability: This role is hands-on and requires physical fitness, including the ability to load and inspect vehicles.
- Detail Orientation: A strong focus on detail and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to inspire and lead a team effectively.
- Communication Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Capacity to address operational challenges and make informed decisions.
Work Schedule and Benefits
- Full-Time Role: Based on a 48-hour work week.
- Flexible Hours: Work 4 out of 6 days, including Saturdays on a rotational basis.
- Bank Holidays: Included in the work schedule.
- Competitive Salary: £36,200 per annum.
