About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team in the Liverpool area, reporting to the Project Manager for the Major Projects business.

This position requires a methodical and tenacious individual with strong technical and project management skills, who is looking to utilize their expertise in a new career.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Prysmian Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) or review the subcontractor's documents.
  • Organize Lift Plan for lifts being undertaken by Prysmian or review the subcontractor's documents.
  • Undertake daily risk assessments.
  • Issue permits to Prysmian or the subcontractor's operatives for high-risk activities (e.g., excavation, working at height, etc...).
  • Undertake regular Sensible Monitoring.
  • Witness all operations, inspections, or tests required by the ITP, confirm it is being undertaken in line with the procedure and criteria stated, and ensure a copy of the required record is taken.
  • Where required, formally invite the client to the witness location using an Inspection Notification form.
  • Complete a Non-Conformance Report for all non-conformance encountered during the course of the work.
  • Create and maintain a snagging list, summarizing the outstanding items needing rectifying.
  • Before work starts, prepare a report on the condition of the work surrounding area. Ensure reinstatement is done to the standard of what was recorded on the condition report or better than.
  • Attend all trial holes undertaken and review associated report.
  • Prepare a site diary daily.
  • Take photos daily of work (even in the event work is not progressing).

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Ideally hold previous experience with a construction or energy industry environment, with a sound understanding of construction or civil engineering matters.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with clients.
  • Educated to a HND or degree level in a relevant engineering discipline, however not essential.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • A driving license is essential.
