We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our team at Heat Trace, a leading manufacturer of highly technical heating cables. As an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for setting, operating, and monitoring our main extruder machines to ensure efficient production and high-quality output.

• Operate and maintain extruder machines to maximize output and minimize downtime
• Verify that manufactured products meet visual, dimensional, and functional specifications
• Ensure correct product material, marking, and labeling
• Conduct quality checks and record production data on our computerized system
• Perform basic maintenance checks, including die cleaning and decontaminating
• Participate in quality sampling of finished products

We are looking for an individual with:

• Extrusion Operator experience or transferable skills from a machine operator position
• An eye for detail and ability to follow plans and complete quality checks
• Proactive and positive attitude
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and overtime when needed
• Good technical/machine experience and understanding
• Good communication and numeracy skills
• Practical thinking and ability to keep pace in a high-volume production environment
