This position is pivotal in managing the logistics involved in exporting products both within the country and internationally, ensuring that operations are executed in the most efficient and cost-effective manner while maintaining a high standard of service.


The responsibilities include organizing the delivery of products from the UK depot using various transportation methods such as road, sea, and air. The role may also encompass the handling of hazardous materials and the necessary documentation associated with such shipments.


A key aspect of this position is to collaborate with multiple departments within the organization, as well as external partners, to guarantee that all deadlines are adhered to and effective communication is maintained throughout the supply chain.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the global shipping of products.
  • Coordinate timely transportation of goods in alignment with the manufacturing schedule and in conjunction with the Dispatch Department.
  • Work closely with Dispatch, Customer Service, and Operations teams to ensure a unified approach to production and shipping, maintaining strong communication across all departments.
  • Stay informed about shipping regulations and documentation, including those related to hazardous materials.
  • Prepare all necessary order documentation.
  • Ensure optimal warehouse capacity and effective shipping of products post-manufacture.
  • Monitor the manufacturing process to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
  • Review transportation costs regularly and participate in selecting preferred suppliers to enhance the export process's cost-effectiveness and suitability for customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate records, analyze budget costs and delivery timelines, and provide management with comprehensive reports.
  • Oversee quality control and address any dispatch delays.
  • Ensure prompt processing of all invoices.

Knowledge and Key Skills Required:

  • Experience in importing and exporting goods, with knowledge of hazardous materials being advantageous.
  • Understanding of Customs and Excise regulations.
  • Familiarity with relevant import and export documentation.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Capability to create and manage databases and spreadsheets effectively.
  • Ability to handle inquiries from overseas clients and distributors via phone and email.
  • Knowledge of anilox manufacturing and printing processes.
  • A proactive and flexible team player with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent administrative and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
