The Role

We are seeking a skilled Catering Assistant to join our Retirement Living Team at St Crispin Village in Duston, Northampton. This part-time role involves working 18 hours per week on a rota basis, including every other weekend. Shifts typically take place between but may vary to accommodate events held on site.

As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the restaurant service by providing a professional waitressing service, including:

  • Setting tables to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
  • Taking orders and handling cash transactions
  • Serving meals and beverages to our residents
  • Cleaning down tables to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Supporting the Kitchen staff as needed, including preparing light meals and printing menu sheets

We also offer a delivery service to our residents, which may require you to deliver meals to their onsite apartments.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for individuals who are customer-focused and motivated to deliver a consistently high level of service. Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience in waitressing or working in a kitchen environment
  • A Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2

We will provide on-the-job training for the rest.
