Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Engineering Specialist to manage the development and introduction of new products in a profitable and efficient manner.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers to liaise on engineering aspects, including creating non-conformance requests and managing a team of CAD/CAM and manufacturing engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement plans for new product introduction, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  2. Collaborate with customers to resolve engineering issues and create non-conformance requests.
  3. Manage a team of engineers to develop and implement new products, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  4. Work with facilities management to ensure CNC systems are suitable for producing parts to required specifications.
  5. Develop and implement plans for out-of-hours running on specific CNC systems.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced General Engineering Specialist with:

  1. Technical expertise in Design & Manufacturing Engineering, with a relevant professional qualification (BSc, BEng, MSc) in Engineering (e.g. Aerospace, Mechanical).
  2. Strong drawing understanding (GD&T, special processes, coating).
  3. Significant experience in Engineering and demonstrated ability in a leadership position with evidence of delivering significant improvements in terms of cost/quality of engineering systems.
  4. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  5. Familiarity with CNC systems - 3/4/5 axis Milling, Turning, and Grinding.
