Material Site Testing Technician

Our client, a dynamic and ambitious company, is seeking a skilled Material Site Testing Technician to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will work a minimum of 40 hours per week with opportunities for overtime.

Due to the nature of the work, flexibility to work weekends and nights as required is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate semi-automated and automated lab equipment to ensure accurate testing results.
  • Follow established protocols, work instructions, and scheduled tasks independently to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Perform in-process testing to verify batches meet specifications.
  • Troubleshoot processes, procedures, and product issues to ensure efficient operations.
  • Manage and implement preventative and corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Update standard operating procedures and work instructions for processes to ensure compliance.
  • Adhere to all health and safety measures in place and ensure team members do the same.
  • Collaborate with other team members as necessary to achieve common goals.

Essential Requirements:

  • Site testing experience of asphalt/tarmac/quarry products.
  • Construction Materials Testing experience.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Degree within science or engineering.
  • Previous laboratory or manufacturing experience.
  • Understanding of safe working practices in a laboratory environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft packages.
  • Driving license.

Salary:

Negotiable, dependent on experience.
