About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Regional Director to lead our infrastructure operations in the Midlands and North of England. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving our expansion, increasing growth and profitability, and building strong relationships with our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a long-term strategy and vision for the success and growth of our business within the region.
  • Develop expertise across a wide range of disciplines within the region.
  • Lead a step change in service capability and delivery to meet regional requirements.
  • Deliver growth in turnover and profits with target clients.
  • Take responsibility for profit and loss within the region.
  • Establish a best-in-class service provision and delivery capability.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a team towards achievement of the long-term strategy, ensuring projects have appropriate resources and expertise.
  • Liaise with sector leads and offices to create new opportunities.
  • Ensure project fees and budgets are adhered to, with robust contract and project change control processes to ensure client approvals are in place to facilitate monthly invoicing.
  • Contribute to the development of the annual budgets in collaboration with sector leads.
  • Develop client relationships to maximise the potential of frameworks.
  • Assist in the resolution of any disputes, including the recovery of outstanding fees that are due.
  • Manage the delivery of work through proactive involvement where appropriate and thorough performance management of personnel to ensure work is completed in a timely manner to a high-quality standard.
  • Provide leadership to the staff and, where required, resolve conflicts of priorities and personalities.
  • Approve training plans to ensure succession planning and career development takes place.
  • Mentor team members, ensuring that staff and new starters are developed to support the successful growth of the practice and development of their career.
  • Ensure service delivery is in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company, particularly health and safety and quality assurance.
  • Ensure communication is clear with staff understanding key priorities and company goals.
  • Ensure compliance with client's corporate governance procedures where applicable.

  • Degree qualified: construction, cost management, engineering, or quantity surveying.

  • Strong analytical skills, sound judgement, and an aptitude for forward planning.
  • Experience of managing people and delivering multiple or complex projects.
  • Good knowledge of construction industry issues.
Interview Process

The interview process will be run in two stages:

Interview 1 - Face-to-face meeting to discuss experience and background.

Interview 2 - Task/presentation from a provided brief and Q&A.
