About the Role

We're a small, innovative company that creates immersive games to unlock people's imagination and inspire self-expression. Our current project is a multiplayer cooperative game with a unique creative wrapper. If you can envision a blend of Jim Henson's Labyrinth and Wrestlemania, you'll be on the right track.

Coding Workflow

We utilize C++ for most of our development work, focusing on data-oriented approaches to minimize friction and maximize feature delivery. Our workflow is designed to be efficient:

  • Our entire codebase builds for debug in under 4 minutes, and a single code file change rebuilds in under 5 seconds.
  • Rebuilding assets, including shaders, takes around 25 minutes, and hot reloading means occasional game restarts when assets or data are updated.
Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Thinking creatively to push the game's visual boundaries and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Collaborating with Adam, our Art Director, to align with the game's visual direction.
  • Delivering pivotal visual and pipeline technology, leveraging your expertise in rendering and performance tuning.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Rendering Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of performance tuning and optimization.
  • C++ proficiency.

  • An artistic eye combined with coding skills.
  • Experience shipping a game as part of a team.
