About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Support Worker to join our team at St Basils in Coventry. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to young people in our care, helping them to achieve their goals and live independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide high-quality care and support to young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
  • To work closely with the team to ensure that St Basils' policies and procedures are implemented effectively.
  • To contribute to the smooth running of the team by maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • To use your initiative to identify and address the needs of young people, and to develop and implement plans to support them.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, and to contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • To work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and nights, to meet the needs of young people.
  • To participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • To work in partnership with other agencies and organizations to provide a comprehensive support service to young people.

Requirements:

  • Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above.
  • NVQ 3 in Care, Advice, and Guidance or other relevant subject (desirable).
  • Experience of working with young people in a care or support setting (essential).
  • Ability to use initiative, work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to anti-discriminatory practice.
  • Flexible approach to work, with ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with young people, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
