Job Description for Telecoms Engineer - Self Employed

About the Role:

GMS International is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Telecoms Engineer to join our team on a self-employed basis. As a Telecoms Engineer, you will be responsible for installing broadband, TV services, and resolving broadband faults in customers' premises on behalf of our clients, including TalkTalk and BT.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installation and Maintenance: You will be responsible for installing and maintaining broadband, TV services, and other telecommunications equipment in customers' premises.
  2. Customer Service: You will provide excellent customer service to our clients and their customers, ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  3. Technical Support: You will provide technical support to our clients and their customers, including troubleshooting and resolving broadband faults.
  4. Field-Based Work: You will work in a field-based environment, driving from one job to another and providing services to customers in their premises.

Requirements:

  1. Full UK Driver's License: You must have a full UK driver's license with no more than 6 points and have held this for at least two years.
  2. Interest in IT and Telecoms: You must have an interest in IT, broadband, telephony, and digital TV technology.
