CD Waste is a leading Waste Management organization located in South-East London, dedicated to delivering effective and dependable refuse collection solutions to commercial clients throughout the area.
Job Overview:
We are in search of a proficient Refuse Collection Vehicle Operator to become a vital part of our team on a permanent basis. The successful applicant will possess experience in operating refuse collection vehicles and will be knowledgeable about waste collection processes in South London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a refuse collection vehicle safely to gather waste from various commercial locations across South London.
- Conduct inspections and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance.
- Follow all traffic regulations and transportation laws.
- Keep the vehicle clean and in good working order.
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation and promptly report any vehicle issues, accidents, or damages.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain effective communication with colleagues and clients.
Qualifications:
- Valid HGV license, minimum group C, with no more than 6 penalty points or disqualifications in the last decade.
- Current Driver Certificate of Competence.
- Openness to additional training as required.
- Strong collaborative skills, initiative, and a commitment to customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
