About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Worldwide Education. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients and delivering high-quality care in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe, monitor, and record patients' medical statuses and health conditions under the supervision of senior nursing colleagues or doctors.
  • Deliver excellent communication skills to liaise with patients, relatives, and carers, and other members of the medical team assisting with clinical duties.
  • Maintain cross-infection control standards and prepare food and assist at mealtimes, supporting patients with their personal hygiene regimes.
  • Promote positive mental and physical nutritional health with patients.
  • Check and order supplies, maintain patient confidentiality, and treat patients with respect and dignity at all times.
Requirements
  • NVQ qualification in Health and Social Care (desirable but not compulsory).
  • Supporting CPD certificates (we provide free training for this).
  • First Aid, Moving and Handling certificate.
  • Medical clearance and clear DBS check.
  • Previous experience in a caring role preferred.
  • Desire to work with diverse team members and patients.
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Physically able to meet the demands of the role.
  • Tactful, understanding, and approachable personality.
