As a vital member of our dynamic team, you will play a key role in project management and execution. Collaborating closely with AECOM's expert engineering team, you will provide strategic leadership and technical guidance in nuclear EC&I engineering. Your contributions will be crucial in the design, development, and implementation of Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (EC&I) systems within nuclear facilities, ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of nuclear operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the design and engineering of EC&I systems for nuclear initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications.
  • Create comprehensive specifications, drawings, and technical documentation for EC&I systems, maintaining accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Offer technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to integrate EC&I solutions within broader project frameworks.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and impact analyses to inform decision-making processes.
  • Effectively manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to meet project goals and objectives.
  • Participate in the commissioning, testing, and validation of EC&I systems, ensuring they meet operational requirements.
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to facilitate project approvals and compliance.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications/experience.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering Electrical Projects.
  • Experience in the nuclear sector or other highly regulated industries.
  • Strong technical knowledge and leadership capabilities.
  • Understanding of mechanical, civil, and process systems, with the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience:
  • Design experience in Low Voltage Electrical Distribution.
  • Control System design expertise.
  • Familiarity with Building Services & Management system design.
  • Knowledge of Earthing & Lightning design.
  • Working knowledge of BS7671 standards.
  • Understanding of safety standards (IEC 61508, 61511).
  • Familiarity with Functional Safety and Reliability principles.
  • Project management experience.
