Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

TransferRoom Limited is a fast-growing B2B SaaS Marketplace on a mission to revolutionize the football transfer market. We empower football clubs, agents, and players with real-time market intelligence and direct access to a global network of decision-makers.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead the development of our DataOps and data engineering strategy. The successful candidate will design, implement, and lead our DataOps strategy, ensuring seamless data integration and processing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines and architectures to support data integration and processing
  • Implement, optimize, and manage ETL processes
  • Expertise in T-SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization
  • Familiarity with Azure ecosystem, tools, and ETL architecture
  • Data governance, particularly GDPR compliance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, suitable for working with a small, agile team
  • Technical curiosity and innovation, making recommendations to the wider business on best data solutions, tools, and practices
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years experience in data engineering
  • Expert in T-SQL, DataOps, SQL performance tuning, and query optimization
  • Good working knowledge of Azure, tooling, Python, and Git
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Expert in ETL process and tooling
  • Deep understanding of Data Architecture
  • Fluency in English
