Job Description

About the Role


London Business School is seeking a highly skilled Development Manager to join our Philanthropy Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in planning and executing fundraising efforts for assigned classes celebrating milestone anniversaries of graduation.


You will be responsible for motivating and managing a group of fundraising volunteers who will be delivering peer-to-peer fundraising and may lead on other projects to advance volunteer-based fundraising.


We are looking for a talented individual who can contribute to the success of our Forever Forward fundraising campaign, which aims to achieve significant growth in philanthropic income, scholarships, research funding, and learning environment investments.


Main Responsibilities

  • Strategic Fundraising Planning
    • Develop and implement comprehensive integrated fundraising plans for each assigned class, focusing on growing participation, Regent's Circle donors, and philanthropic income.
  • Volunteer Management
    • Identify, recruit, motivate, and manage fundraising volunteers for each assigned Reunion class, building lasting relationships and ensuring a fulfilling volunteer experience.
  • Data Analysis and Insights
    • Work with the Data team to analyze past Reunion performance and other giving data to recommend targets for each class in terms of participation, Regent's Circle donors, and philanthropic income.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work with the Alumni Engagement team to support planning and execution of Reunion volunteer and donor stewardship, including on-campus receptions during reunions.
    • Frequent communication with the Prospect Research team to ensure prospect pipelines and moves management processes are up to date and new prospective funders are identified.


Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in individual fundraising and annual giving activity, preferably within a university or higher-education institution.
  • Experience in managing, influencing, and motivating senior volunteers (or stakeholders).
  • Demonstrable experience in closing gifts over £1,000.
