About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Orthoptist to join our department at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. As an Orthoptist, you will play a vital role in providing expert care to our patients, working closely with our team of Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with eye disorders and injuries.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and examinations to diagnose and manage eye conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.
  • Participate in mentorship and preceptership programs to support the development of newly qualified Orthoptists.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Orthoptics.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
