Job Summary

This is an active role based on a construction site and will require working in inclement weather. The time driving the forklift will be dependent upon how busy the site is and the Forklift Driver will be required to carry out general laboring duties in order to assist both company personnel and the various trades on site, as required. There will be the necessity to traverse the site across and around excavations should the need arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials, either in the compound or on site, in a safe and efficient manner whilst using correct company and health and safety procedures. This may also involve manual handling of heavy and / or awkward objects
  • Comply with responsibilities as laid down in the company's health, safety and environment policy and as explained in site health and safety rules / procedures. This includes wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Comply with company policies, procedures and instructions at all times
  • Complete general laboring duties when the forklift is not required or is out of action. This will include general housekeeping, litter picking etc. It may necessitate the climbing of ladders to access scaffolding
  • Contribute towards improving, protecting and enhancing the reputation of the company, by putting forward new ideas and, when requested to do so, implementing change
