We are seeking a talented **DevSecOps Engineer** to join our dedicated R&D teams in Cambridge. You will play a crucial role in shaping the development workflows and promoting robust security practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to establish and implement secure SDLC controls, ensuring best practices are integrated into every stage of development.
  • Leverage existing development tools to identify baseline security requirements and implement effective security controls. Analyze metrics associated with these tools to measure the effectiveness of implemented controls in achieving business objectives.
  • Provide comprehensive support to engineering teams and projects, incorporating findings from security assessments and tooling (e.g., code reviews, system acceptance testing) into development processes.
  • Communicate technical findings and risks clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, facilitating informed decision-making regarding security priorities.
  • Champion secure coding practices within the organization, fostering a culture of proactive security awareness.
  • Continuously improve development processes to align with evolving industry standards and best practices in cybersecurity.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven experience working in DevOps or production environments, demonstrating a strong understanding of software development lifecycles.
  • Proficiency in scripting or application development, particularly with Python.
  • Analytical skills to effectively solve problems and support the DevOps team's objectives.
  • A commitment to staying current on the latest secure development frameworks and cybersecurity trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear and concise communication of technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong professional writing skills for creating technical documentation and reports.
