At EDF, we're committed to helping Britain achieve Net Zero. Our Design Engineering EPR-E Graduate Programme offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a broad range of skills and knowledge in EPR engineering.
What You'll Gain
- Embark on an 18-month programme that offers placements across our nuclear new build programme, including working on software and hardware-based reactor protection systems, plant computing systems, process automation and control systems.
- Gain experience in designing and building complex systems, including instrumentation and control systems, which are critical to ensuring safe and reliable operations.
- Develop your skills in software engineering, factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning testing, and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to different projects throughout the programme, including work on EDF systems, supporting design reviews, and implementing modifications to systems.

Work Location
Following an induction, you'll spend the first 9 months of the programme working in the Southwest, where you'll spend time at our design office in Aztec West (Bristol), and at Hinkley Point C. The final 9 months of your programme will be spent in France.
Requirements
To join our team, you'll need a 2:2 Bachelor's Degree or a 2:2 Postgraduate Degree (obtained or expected) in Electrical, Electronics, Control Instrumentation, Maths, Physics, Automation or Software Engineering. You'll also need to be open to relocating to France as part of the programme and have an interest in learning the French language.
Security Vetting
You must meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which generally requires you to have been a UK resident for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
