Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead internal audit reviews and regulatory assurance reviews within the Financial Services sector, making value-add recommendations to senior management.
  • Support Senior Management in developing and delivering the annual internal audit plan.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, representing BDO at client meetings and attending senior management committee meetings.
  • Identify and capitalize on business opportunities for the team, assisting with marketing, recruitment, and training.
  • Develop and deliver internal audit service offerings, training staff, and ensuring projects are well-managed and commercially viable.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry knowledge and skills, attending networking events and conferences to promote BDO's services.
Requirements:
  • Extensive internal audit or regulatory assurance experience working within or with Financial Services.
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services sector and the UK regulatory environment.
  • Recognized accountancy or internal audit professional qualifications and/or memberships.
  • Strong written and communication skills, with the ability to influence, lead, engage, and manage stakeholders.
