About the Role
The Nigel Wright Group is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the income collection process, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate records.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of accounts to ensure timely payment and minimize bad debt
- Prepare and submit monthly reports on collection activity and recovery rates
- Communicate with customers via phone and email to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans
- Update and maintain accurate records in the company's accounting system
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates and reduce bad debt
Requirements
- At least 1 year's experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a related field
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team, with a strong focus on customer service
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Basic understanding of the legal system relevant to credit control, including small claims
