Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at PM Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage vendor relationships for equipment delivery, installation, and commissioning.
  • Develop and manage project schedules for vendor visits.
  • Oversee the process of booking vendors and managing Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Communicate and plan vendor visit schedules with end-users.
  • Act as host during vendor on-site visits.
  • Manage project schedules to meet agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate with vendors to deliver quoted packages.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities with vendors.
  • Lead project management to deliver projects on time.
  • Coordinate with key contractors and elements of work.
  • Liaise with and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Monitor project budgets and provide accurate monthly reports.
  • Attend daily update meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations.
  • Develop and update project schedules according to project stage-gates.
  • Identify, record, and monitor project risks, escalating where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline.
  • Previous experience in packaging line upgrades and chiller replacements.
  • Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) principles.
  • Junior to intermediate-level Project Engineer or Project Manager with experience in managing cross-functional teams, delivering complex manufacturing facility and processing projects in a highly automated GMP production environment.
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage and execute projects from initiation to completion.
  • Understanding of project management processes, including programming, scope development, design development, implementation, and project closeout.
  • Execution and adherence to project timelines.
  • Ability to work with end-users to develop operating procedures, maintenance, and calibration plans.

  • On-site work.
  • Outside IR35.
  • Contract.
