Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team at SES Water. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds, cleaning tanks and buildings, and performing basic mechanical work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain our award-winning sites using provided equipment.
- Skillfully operate large grounds care equipment, including agricultural tractors and loaders.
- Perform daily maintenance checks on equipment and report any defects to ensure smooth operations.
- Repair and erect fences to secure our premises and protect our diverse ecosystems.
- Clean and sterilize all types of tanks and reservoirs as necessary.
- Set up, operate, and dismantle temporary pumping plants.
- Carry out basic tree surgery tasks such as removing limbs and cutting up fallen trees.
- Assist in loading and off-loading deliveries of materials.
Requirements:
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- A full driving license is essential.
- Ideal experience as a general labourer or similar.
- Basic IT/computer skills.
- Experience of chainsaw/mechanical plant/forklift/trailer towing is an advantage.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily working outside or within tanks and vessels.
- Occasional heavy lifting.
- Good level of physical fitness required for climbing ladders and stairs, and wearing breathing apparatus when necessary.
