Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Team Lead to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding our engineering team to achieve optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the effective management of workloads to minimize downtime and optimize operational performance.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out to the highest standards.
  • Leadership and Development: Develop and implement best practices, and support the continuous improvement of a safe and high-performing culture within the engineering teams.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with external contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and control engineering team shift coverage, holidays, and absence reporting.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Level 3 Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience: Previous leadership experience and CMMS experience
  • Skills: Budget/P&L management skills and ability to lead and develop a team
