CNC Miller Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join our team at Travail Employment Group. As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce complex, high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set and run CNC Millers
  • Undertake tool changes, offsets, and program editing
  • Produce components to production deadlines
  • Work to tight tolerances and strict quality standards (AS9001 & ISO 13485)
Working Conditions:

You will be working a rotational shift of earlies and lates, with a varied schedule including:

  • 6am - 2PM Monday - Thursday
  • 12.30 finish on Fridays
  • 2pm to 12.30am Mon- Wed
  • 2pm - 10.30pm Thurs
Requirements:
  • Ideal candidate will be apprentice trained and hold a relevant qualification
  • Confident CNC setting and operating experience
  • Experience of producing prototypes and first-offs to drawings
  • Experience with modern quality control standards and measurement of parts
  • Ability to select, set, and change machine tools

Experience with 5 Axis or mill turn machines would be of great interest, as would working knowledge of Fanuc or Heidenhain. Programming experience is preferred but not essential.
