About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a well-regarded secondary school in South Essex. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers to create engaging and interactive learning experiences for students with special needs.
  • Advocate for students with Special Educational Needs, providing customized support to help them achieve their learning objectives.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Help develop creative teaching materials to ignite curiosity and enthusiasm in students.
  • Support the implementation of educational strategies tailored to each child's learning objectives.
  • Provide feedback to children, parents, and caregivers about their progress, achievements, and any concerns as directed by the teaching team.
Requirements
  • Prior experience working with students with special educational needs in a school setting.
  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one through Randstad Education (mandatory).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A demonstration of patience, passion, and professionalism in supporting students with special needs.
  • Ability to manage children with challenging behavior and foster positive relationships with SEN pupils.
