Our client, a prominent player in the food manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Position Summary
As an integral member of the Engineering team, you will focus on the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Utilize your engineering expertise to work with packing machinery and related systems.
  • Document and track maintenance requests and fault repairs, responding to breakdowns promptly.
  • Provide progress updates to Engineering Management or Supervisors.
  • Execute specific projects as directed by the Engineering Management team.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations as well as food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess an Engineering qualification or relevant experience as a time-served engineer, preferably having completed an apprenticeship or a formal training program in electrical installation and maintenance. You should demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to follow directions, and a professional approach to challenges. Proven experience in planned maintenance systems, breakdown maintenance, and installations, along with knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, is essential.
