Opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our Property and Facilities Department at Edinburgh Napier University. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance, reactive works, and minor installations in your core trade, as well as other general maintenance duties across our campuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned maintenance and reactive works in electrical systems
  • Undertake minor installations and repairs in your core trade
  • Work across all campuses, including Estates and Buildings, Energy and Sustainability, Security, Cleaning, Logistics, Print and Document Services, Sports Centre, Catering, Conference and Events, and Student Accommodation
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure excellent customer experience for staff and students
Requirements
  • Qualified electrician with a recognised apprenticeship, NVQ, or City and Guilds Qualifications
  • 17th Edition IEE regulations qualification
  • Proven track record of working on electrical systems and excellent grasp of electrical safety
  • Excellent fault finding and diagnostic technique
  • Team player with good communication and relationship building skills
  • Flexible approach to work and ability to adapt to different trade tasks
