Job Title: Transport Planner

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Transport Planner/Transport Debriefer to join our team at More Recruitment Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure drivers are using the provided Tom-Toms and that their runs are correctly assigned.
  • Verify that vehicles and trailers are road legal and that drivers have the necessary PPE and paperwork.
  • Prepare run sheets for day or night shifts and pre-brief drivers on their tasks.
  • Report any sickness, no-shows, or unusual activities to the transport manager and ensure customers are informed of any delivery risks.
  • Quickly deal with breakdowns and ensure the compliance department and transport manager are aware.
  • Complete daily yard checks and address any issues.
  • Answer all emails and calls promptly, ensuring the transport mobile phone is always accessible.
  • Ensure drivers are debriefed correctly, download Tacho Cards, and upload hard copy PODs.
  • Provide a clear and informative handover at the end of each shift.
