We are currently working with a leading engineering company with a strong international presence delivering across various sectors for blue-chip clients. The company is looking for a quantity surveyor to join the pre-fabrication facility in the UK.
As a quantity surveyor, you will be based on the off-site facility and work to lead commercial duties and integrate with the on-site teams to ensure the successful and commercially efficient delivery of projects nationally. Your initial focus will be on a hyperscale data centre project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Track costs and labour throughout the project.
- Monitor the Project Hours Spent vs Earned schedule.
- Carry out full construction take off, prepare construction cost plan, track costs and labour efficiency throughout the project.
- Prepare timely and accurate assessments/payment certificates/payless notices for subcontractors each month.
- Ensure the final account is agreed within the project timeline.
- Prevent the company from being exposed to third-party claims.
- Prepare subcontract packages for procurement, agree contracts, and manage through to final account.
- Hold a degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
