Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Welsh medium primary school in Cardiff. The successful candidate will work closely with a pupil who requires 1:1 support due to Sensory Processing Disorder.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the teacher in delivering successful lessons and provide individualized support to the pupil.
  • Work with the pupil in small groups and on a 1:1 basis to ensure their needs are met.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Be a role model to all pupils and promote a culture of respect and empathy.

Requirements:
  • Fluent Welsh speaker with excellent communication skills.
  • An enhanced DBS check and registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
  • Two recent and professional references.
  • Experience working in an SEN or education setting.
