As a Finance Assistant, your primary responsibilities will encompass credit control, purchase ledger management, and providing comprehensive support to the Group Financial Controller. You will collaborate closely with various departments to gather financial information, contribute to budgeting exercises, and assist in audit preparations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide essential financial data to support the budgeting process.
  • Work collaboratively with departments to collect required financial information.
  • Assist in preparing for audits, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide transactional support to the Group Financial Controller, streamlining financial operations.
  • Manage both sales and purchase ledgers for the group, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the finance team, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Participate in standardization initiatives across the group, promoting consistency and best practices.
  • Proactively chase outstanding company debt, including issuing final notices and liaising with legal counsel when necessary. Resolve invoice queries by collaborating with internal departments.
  • Input supplier invoices into Sage Line 50 Accounts and prepare them for monthly payment runs.
  • Perform general administrative duties related to your role, such as data entry, responding to emails, and handling phone calls.
Key Skills:
  • Demonstrate adaptability and a flexible approach to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Possess proven experience working within a finance setting.
  • Exhibit strong expertise in purchase ledger and sales ledger management.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, fostering clear and concise interactions.
