Position Overview

We are excited to present a unique opportunity within our Employer Outbound Team, dedicated to enhancing the Department for Education's Apprenticeships and Skills initiatives.

In this role, you will engage with businesses through proactive outreach, focusing on various educational products tailored to their needs. Your mission will be to inform employers about T Levels, Industry Placements, Apprenticeships, and other relevant offerings from the Department for Education.

Your primary responsibility will be to raise awareness among employers about the advantages of participating in high-quality apprenticeship and industry placement programs, thereby promoting their adoption.

The operational hours for this position are from 8am to 8pm, with the core team working from 9:00am to 5:30pm. Flexibility in working hours may be required to support different campaign areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advocate for the integration of high-quality apprenticeships and industry placements, aligning with performance objectives, while providing clear guidance on funding opportunities.
  • Connect with decision-makers in businesses to communicate the benefits of apprenticeships and industry placements, delivering crucial strategic messages.
  • Execute administrative tasks and ensure accurate data entry in relevant IT systems.
  • Offer strategic skills support to organizations by keeping them informed about significant policy updates.
  • Maintain established quality standards and uphold best practices consistently.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum educational attainment of Level 2, including qualifications in Maths and English.
  • Proven experience in customer interaction via telephone.
  • Exceptional telephone etiquette coupled with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to engage with employers and training providers in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Proficient in IT, with strong keyboard skills and familiarity with various commercial software applications, including Microsoft Office.

  • This position is subject to an enhanced DBS Check and additional vetting processes as required.
