Overview of the Apprenticeship

Key Responsibilities

Assist and support with scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on site, including that of associated machinery and facilities.
Collaborate with the Maintenance team to address any mechanical or electrical breakdowns and/or installations within production areas as needed.
Work alongside and shadow Engineers within the Maintenance team to aid in daily operations and projects.
Engage in the continuous enhancement of the Maintenance team while aligning with long-term departmental and organizational objectives.
Support Maintenance Engineers in the thorough diagnosis and repair of all equipment on site.
Maintain daily maintenance logs to document activities.
Aid in the execution of daily scheduled maintenance logs to ensure accurate record-keeping.

Participate in Continuous Improvement activities as they arise.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and communicate them to the Line Manager.
Be available for overtime as necessary.

Qualifications

Educational Background

Pursuing a HNC Technical qualification.
Learning to maintain a variety of production and facility assets and processes.
Some familiarity with automation, robotic cells, chemical processing lines, and CNC machining.
Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
Proficient in MS Office and IT applications.
Eager to learn best practices from seasoned Engineers.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail.
Good work ethic and punctuality.
