Are you a results-driven professional with a passion for retail and business growth? We're seeking a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our SPAR Blakemore Trade Partners Team as a Retail Business Development Executive.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you'll play a pivotal part in supporting and expanding our existing SPAR convenience store network within Herefordshire & Surrounding area. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing bespoke retail business plans, operational goals, and budgets alongside retailers.
  • Monitoring retailer performance, addressing areas for improvement, and supporting them in maintaining SPAR's high standards.
  • Advising on SPAR's latest developments and business initiatives.
  • Offering guidance on key business issues, including health and safety, training, and legislation.
  • Building strong relationships with retailers and their teams while balancing the needs of A.F. Blakemore.
  • Identifying any trading issues or financial risks and reporting these to head office.
  • Seamlessly integrating new retailers into the SPAR family and supporting their growth.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking a proactive, motivated self-starter with a passion for food retail and customer service. You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have experience managing convenience stores or supermarkets.
  • Possess B2B account management experience, ideally within the convenience or food retail sector.
  • Are numerically and literarily competent, with a strong understanding of retail operations.
  • Have a valid UK driving licence and enjoy working independently.
  • Are enthusiastic about growing retail businesses and building long-lasting partnerships.
