Classroom Cover Coordinator

We are collaborating with a dynamic and inclusive secondary educational institution that is in search of a committed and motivated Classroom Cover Coordinator to become part of their team.

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the continuity of education for all students during the absence of teaching personnel. This role is perfect for individuals who are dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment and supporting young learners in their educational pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Class Supervision: Manage classrooms in the absence of teachers, ensuring that students engage with assigned tasks and maintain a constructive learning atmosphere.
  • Student Support: Assist students as required, helping them comprehend assignments and promoting active participation.
  • Behavioral Oversight: Enforce school policies related to behavior management to create a safe and respectful environment conducive to learning.
  • Staff Communication: Coordinate with teaching staff regarding lesson outlines, student requirements, and any challenges that may arise during class supervision.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents, ideally in an educational context.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with students, staff, and parents.
  • An understanding of child development and educational methodologies is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A collaborative mindset and a positive attitude towards teamwork within the educational community.

All pay rates mentioned will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in the future.
